  As an athlete and as a father, it is frustrating to see how a rare disease can limit people's freedom of movement. Rare diseases deserve much more attention and I am happy to contribute to that as an ambassador.

  Unfortunately, for many people, reality is capricious. Together we can stand strong and give people with a rare disease hope for the future. During the peer contact day in Ouwehands Zoo, we are happy to give these families a carefree day out.

  Health has a huge impact on your life, and during my sporting career I have discovered that everything is not self-evident. I am passionately committed to these children to see them shine.

  There are many unknown diseases that claim many victims. It may just be your child who is affected. Give and think with your heart to these children and families who are having a hard time.
